Why PAONIA?   The folks in Paonia enjoy an experiential life style breathing clean mountain air with moderate seasonal temperatures.  Its glorious Town Park provides a canopy of shade for an activity filled summer.  Around the 4th of July Cherry Days kick things off with its colorful parade that ends in the park and initiates hours of music, contests and family fun.  A few weeks later the Town Park transforms into a tent city for hundreds of enthusiasts from the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado.  The edge of the park is surrounded by these beautiful shining machines while their riders rest by their campsites between joy rides on the surrounding mountain roadways.  August brings on "Pickin in the Park" which draws hundreds from the surrounding communities and countryside to enjoy concerts in the open air on Thursday evenings.  Camaraderie abounds as locals greet their neighbors and visitors from afar.  In between these exciting events bicyclists take off for daily rides on the country roads and mountain trails while hikers trek off into the back country.  Summer ends with the Mountain Harvest Festival that brings crowds to the Town Park to enjoy more music, organic produce, wine tasting and local cuisine.  Then the focus shifts to indoor activities with classical music at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts and a variety of events at the Paradise Theater or quiet reading at the modern Paonia Library.  KVNF Radio backs up these activities with music, educational programs and information year round.  All of this happens within easy walking distance of the lots for sale.  So come join us and become part of the fun.
